Stanford Dingley 19 March 2009
To walk in the English countryside at the very dawn of Spring but in temperatures nearer to high summer is a rare and wonderful experience.

The ten of us that assembled outside Stanford Dingly church on the 19th March for our club walk were indeed thus blessed. The group split in to two with the slightly fitter half taking on the longer of the two walks. Both parties set off together across the first two fields before parting only to meet up again towards the end of the two routes and walking together back into the village. |

From the church it was then a very short drive to the Boot where we enjoyed an excellent lunch sitting outside in the garden; an event rare enough in high summer let alone the last day of winter! |
